Rebuilding a dam
Gerber Construction Inc., based in Salt Lake City, has been a leader in the heavy concrete construction industry in Utah for 40 years. In the last four decades, they have experienced solid growth in the industry establishing a solid foundation. In December 2015, they began a project located on the Green River, just north of Green River, Utah. The project consisted of new concrete diversion structures and a new rip rap dam. As part of the dam’s repair and rehabilitation, the project called for driving more than 400 20-foot-long sheet piles into a challenging soil. Gerber Construction needed a vibratory pile driver that was powerful, versatile, and easily adapted to different situations. Their selection for this demanding job was the MG-90 Grizzly.
