Construction of the new metropolitan district at Willets Point with Mayrich Construction
A hydraulic excavator equipped with a Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip vibratory hammer drives a steel beam into the ground, on a vast construction site in the heart of Queens, New York.
New York-based general contractor Mayrich Construction is currently working on one of the city’s largest urban redevelopment projects, located in Willets Point, right next to NYCFC’s future soccer stadium. The company is using a Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip vibratory hammer, supplied by our distributor Alessi Equipment, to carry out foundation work essential to the modernization of the area.
This ambitious project involves the construction of an integrated complex, including a Hard Rock casino, hotel, condos, green spaces, as well as various transportation and entertainment infrastructures. The Grizzly MultiGrip vibratory hammer is currently being used to install steel sheet piles, which will stabilize the soil and prepare the site for the next phases of the project.
