Building new foundations for an oyster farm in Ireland
A piling contractor in Ireland used a Gilbert Grizzly MultiGrip MG-60 side-grip pile driver unit with a 22 tons excavator for an oyster farm water tanks and building extension foundations. Tubes had a diameter of 140mm with 8mm walls and were three (3) to 10 (ten) meters long. In order to get efficient driving with the bottom clamp, a cap was custom-made and the tubes were driven by using the cap to maximise the equipment performance.
