Harvesting softwood work on a forestry site

TPVHS society operates sanitation, earthworks, landscape and forestry works mainly in Hauts-de-France region.

In order to respond at the increasing demand for fuelwood, TPVHS decided to acquire a 3018L felling head adaptable on hydraulic excavators and so multiply their 21 tons Volvo EC210 applications. The French society also possesses a forestry feller buncher with Gilbert’s 3022L felling head.

One of the recent sites consisted in thinning coniferous nearby Étouy in Oise Department. Imposing trees from 10 to 45 centimeters of diameter have been manipulated and placed on the ground to ease skidder’s work thanks to the 350 degree wrist. The maneuverability and cutting speed of Gilbert’s felling head was beneficial for this work, according to Sylvain Van Havermaet, owner of TPVHS.
